Bishop Donnie McGriff, Sr. is a leader, visionary, preacher, teacher, Pastor and Founder of Christ Temple Apostolic Church for 39 years and President over the Christ Temple International Ministries for 21 years which is an Accredited University by the Accrediting International Commission for Schools, Colleges, and Theological Seminaries. Newly overseer of CTIMFellowship of Churches umbrella under CTIM, which the Lord blessed to have birthed 22 churches plus oversee over 36 churches in India under Bishop Johannas Malipudi.

In 1993 Dr. McGriff was consecrated Bishop for the World Won for Christ Ministries under the late Bishop Wayne S. Davis founding Bishop.

Suffragan Bishop McGriff continues to attend and serve under the California District Council 16th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc for over 45 years under the late Bishop R. Frank Bowdan, the late Bishop Robert McMurray and the late Bishop Henry L. Johnson.  During this time period Dr. McGriff was consecrated as Suffragan Bishop served as Assistant Chairman for the California District Council for 3 years served as Pastor’s Counsel for the CDC and now making HISTORY at the CDC July 2014 Council, under the interim leadership of our Diocesan Bishop Charles Ellis, Dr. McGriff was voted as Bishop of the Southern California District Council.  Later at the P.A.W. 2014 Summer Convention Bishop McGriff was consecrated Bishop over the Southern California District Council - 67th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World on August 8, 2014. To God be the Glory!!

Bishop McGriff is an anointed man of God, chosen after God’s own heart is a gifted authored and keen insight to the needs of God’s people, who has published Best Sellers such as “Don’t Mix Your Stuff with God’s Stuff”, and Supportive Ministries of Helps for the 21st Century Church Books 1 and 2. Also, recently published Christians in Crisis. Bishop McGriff is an ardent student of Eschatology, a Bible Teacher, which he is certified in Anger Management, License Marriage & Family Christian Counselor, and a Member of American Association of Christian Counselors.

Bishop McGriff  received his Ph. D from California University of Theology 2010. Graduated from the University of Biblical Studies and Seminary, where he received his Bachelor of Theology, and Master of Arts in Pastoral Christian Counseling. He earned both his Doctor of Divinity and Doctor of Christian Education and Administration, from the International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth in Dayton, Ohio.

His life in Christ is evidenced by his love and compassion for his family, the brethren and to reach the total person and those who are lost.

Many esteem him as a Pastor’s Pastor; a Leader’s Leader; He has no problem in helping, guiding and directing newly pastors. Conducting empowerment seminars, bible classes that are designed to help, train Pastors how to open a church, what guidelines and paths you should take before venturing out. Train Deacons and Armor bearers to be the best that they could be.

Bishop McGriff is married to the lovely lady the late (Dr. Shirley McGriff) for 59 years. God called Dr. Shirley home on July 2, 2020 but to there union they have 6 children, 4 Son in Laws, 1 daughter in law, 35 grandchildren and 35 great-grands who revere him as a loving husband, grandfather (Poppie) and role model father.  Bishop McGriff, strives to exemplify the heart of God.

He also is the overseer of 56 churches in India under Bishop Johannas Malipudi and acquiring 27 more churches entering the CTIMFOC.  Bishop McGriff is President of the Christ Temple International Apostolic University for 21 years which is an Accredited University by the Accrediting International Commission for Schools, Colleges, and Theological Seminaries where many souls, ministers, evangelists, prophets, teachers, and even churches have been birthed. In addition, GCTAC has become a satellite site for the CTIAU.

The (late) Dr. Shirley Jean McGriff was born January 22, 1947 in Mt. Enterprise, Texas to the late Brother Eli Williams and Dr. Marjorie Williams who lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Married to a wonderful husband District Elder Donnie McGriff for 59 years. Have two sons, four daughters, and four son-n-laws along with 35 grandchildren and 35 great grand’s.  She is the First Lady and Vice President of Christ Temple Apostolic Church for 39 years.     The Women’s Ministry President, the business manager and Vice President of the Christ Temple International Apostolic University in El Cajon City. A natural born leader, a woman of God, a miracle, a woman of virtue, integrity, a woman with purpose and extraordinary talents. She has serve on numerous auxiliaries and trained the Women’s Ministry and other women of different faiths. She served as 2nd assistant to the Ministers Wives at the California District Council in 1997 and decorator for the council.     First Lady McGriff will now assume the roll of the First, Elect Lady of the NEW' Southern California District Council under the leadership of her husband the (Diocesan Bishop).      Having fulfilling some of her dreams, Dr. McGriff received her Associates Arts Degree in Interior Design and Home furniture 1969. She was ordained as an Elder at the California District Council in 2000. Received her Bachelors Degree from Aenon Bible College in 1980. Further her education with the International Apostolic University of Grace and Truth of Indianapolis, Indiana receiving her B.A. Degree in Business,  Masters of Christian Education and Christian Counseling (sum ma cum laude) and Doctorate of Theology (sum ma cum laude) in 2000 and presently working on Physiology at Aenon Christian College.     With the grace of God and support of her family Dr. McGriff published her first book, “When You Are Miss-Informed, You Will Miss-Inform Others”, in the year of 2000.  When she isn’t planning or working faithfully around the church. She teaches every first Saturday of the month to the Women’s Ministry and the Women in Fellowship, what is your purpose relation with God and walk in Excellence. Her greatest desire is to see God work in the lives of those to whom she ministers. Dr. Shirley McGriff favorite motto' is          "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me!"  

Christ Temple Celebrates 39 years of Services opening it's doors on December 3, 1982. With the blessing of the California Hawaii Nevada District Council; affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World organization. Christ Temple opens its door and had its first service December 3rd, 1982 at 3085 54th Street San Diego , California  Two years later we out grew 3085 54th with 75 members and moved next door to 3081 54th Street, where God moved and manifest His supernatural power at CTAC in such a magnificent manner that Pastor McGriff began to refer to CTAC as “The Miracle on 54th Street” as a slogan that still applies today. We outgrew 3081 54th of 220 soul’s and was forced to move to 5952 El Cajon Blvd. where we remodel the two story building to accommodate class rooms, church administration, board room and a sanctuary. In 2001 we outgrew the El Cajon Blvd. property in San Diego and were forced to move again on April 28th 2001, where we move to our present location at 309 Prescott Avenue El Cajon , California to a larger facility with the sanctuary seating 500 including the balcony and overflow room, class rooms, cooperate office, fellowship hall, and University.  Through the leadership of Dr. Donnie N. McGriff (Former Adjutant and Bishop of World Won for Christ Ministries International) many ministries have been developed to minister to the community, such as an Armed Forces Ministry (ship ministry), food and clothing for the needy in Mexico, using senior and college students for mentoring youth after school, and weekend youth programs just to name a few. Presently, there are 28 in house ministries established and designed to meet the needs of the total man, spiritually, physically, and mentally.     Fifteen (22) Ministers received the called to Pastor.     1. Pastor Dr. Benjamin Andrew, Lake Elsinore  ​     In 1999, God blessed us to open our very own school (International Apostolic University of Southern California), changing the name to Christ Temple International University which is presently affiliated with Aenon Schools of Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. This university is to educate, equip, train, and empower leaders, church workers, evangelist, pastors and all who have a desire to strive for excellence and obtain a fully accredited degree in Christian Education, Theology, Counseling, and Church Administration.     We pray that God will continue to Bless and keep our Bishop to continue to give him guidance and strength for the journey.
